Our Shared Ride program is important to our clients in that it provides them transportation around Indiana County and even beyond. Take a moment to get to know Patty Long, a Shared Ride Driver for the past (almost) eight years! Patty has enjoyed meeting the clients she has driven over the years. “I give them a big smile when I see them and I love to joke around with them,” said Patty.
When asked what she would like people to know about her job, Patty wants everyone to know that the Shared Ride program gets Seniors, people with disabilities and others where they need to go. “It’s freedom,” said Patty. “I hear all the time that our clients are so glad we’re here and it feels good.”
Patty says it’s great being a driver at IndiGO and she has a good time while working. “I really like working with the Dispatchers – they keep us in line!”
Away from work Patty enjoys tubing, camping, and riding motorcycles. Thank you, Patty, for eight great years of service!!
