Statement of Diversity

The diversity of the people of Indiana County has been the source of innovative ideas and creative accomplishments throughout the service area’s past and into the present. Diversity – a defining feature of our past, present, and future – refers to the variety of personal experiences, values, and worldviews that arise from differences of culture and circumstance. Such differences include race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, abilities/disabilities, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, geographic region and more.

Because the core mission of the Indiana County Transit Authority is to serve the interests of the area, it must seek to serve the diversity among its passengers, stakeholders and among its employees. The Indiana County Transit Authority has a compelling interest in making sure that people from all backgrounds are confident that access to our services and employment is possible from all groups.
