The goals of the PwD (Persons with a Disability) program are to provide a reduced fare shared ride service for persons who have a disability and are ages 18 to 64, living in Indiana County, and needing transportation to or from an area not served by existing transportation services.
The transportation service will be provided through the Indiana County Shared Ride Program. Trips will be provided within the county; the only exception is Thursday trips to Pittsburgh for medical appointments. Call for details on all Pittsburgh trips.
The PwD program helps people go to medical appointments, shopping, recreational activities, jobs, and appointments at social service agencies.
Appointments must be called into the Scheduler no later than 2 p.m. one business day prior to the appointments.
Callers are encouraged to call several days in advance when possible.
